The kent shed network has now connected in with UKMSA and their regional meetings every 6 weeks. This will allow shed's to connect on a wider level an learn from others across the country

ADVICE
STAPLEHURST SHED
Have maintained their zoom calls with approx. 17 members each week. They have been talking about a phased approach to returning
Phase one- meeting on the green when groups can meet up, bringing own chair and food
Phase Two-more aug/sept meetings inside sheds for under 70’s with maintaining the guidelines and only when the alert level is 3 or below
They have also had some info regarding isolation sent through from one you kent to share with the network.
SHEDWICK
Keeping connected and supporting each other through their facebook page and whatsapp.
Doing community projects from home to get them ready for after the lockdown.
The shed leader has drop off materials to some members to allow them to take part in the home projects
Actively using their face book page and have invited sheds to a live online disco on Saturday 25th April
using their own sheds/garages to carry on with community projects they have. They also hold weekly Virtual house party that all sheds can attend
TAKE OFF
Have a wide range of virtual groups people can join via the Zoom platform. Just go to their website chose a group and be invited along
ABBEY PHYSIC GARDEN
Keeping connected with a very active face book page-abbey physic Garden-growing a healthy community.
They have a weekly blog-called keeping the lights on and are calling members.
They have also doing some “growing kits” that have been delivered out to people to do from home
SHERWOOD SHED
Have a whats-app group for shed members to continue connections and have started mini home projects to share on the whats-app group.
Looking at potential to re-open in July with 5 day opening and allowing 2 people in each time. This giving the opportunity for everyone to come along and maintain the government guidelines
COBTREE SHED
The park is now open- an the team are thinking about what this might mean in the future
Have managed to get into check their building now that the park is open, but can only have one member at a time. Their hope is to rearrange the building to allow 2 people in at once to maintain social distance. They are now looking at repairing tools ready for the reopening
TENTERDEN SHED
now clear agreement with members regarding keeping in touch with them including a regular group email.
